Help us name our bitter!
We brewed an English Special Bitter last night (Jeff might call it a “special bitter” with just a hint of brewmaster stuffiness). Joel had the idea of holding off on brainstorming until we were buzzed, but we forgot. I blame Joel.
So… we can essentially go anywhere with this one. Feel free to bring in England, but don’t feel like you have to. The one stipulation is that it needs to be based around an interesting character like a knight or a sea captain or something. Also, we’d like to continue the play-on-words theme (Weissguy, Swashchuckler), so keep that in mind.
And many thanks to Walter for naming our last beer! The label turned out really well. And even though it was uncarbonated and tepid, the hefeweizen tasted pretty durn good. A sign of things to come, no doubt.

Hmm…nothing great comes to mind, but I’m watching Modern Marvels right now, so clearly you can understand I’m distracted.
1. We should name a beer “Fairhaven St.” something or other, in homage to the Iverson residence.
2. Danke Bitter (get it? ha! get it? oknevermind)
3. Drunk’n Bitter
4. Double Decker Bitter (with a bus graphic, of course).
5. I actually like “Grandpappy.” This beer should remind drinkers of old people, of fog and rain and fireplaces. I mean, we’re not going to call it “Ryan Seacrest’s Bitter.”

I just asked and English man and he said that the Malty Dick would be, hands down, the hit beer, if not for anything else but the name. It could have an image of a police man on it, drinking a brew, or something like that…
What about bitter old maid? You could have a picture of Jonathan dressed like Whistler’s mother with a scowl on his face. Actually, I just want to see Baker dressed like a girl.
