The significance of a Harvard ballcap
Jeff and I went to Taco Mac Saturday night to have a few beers and watch some football. While we were there, we were engaged in what is surely one of the top 10 conversations ever prompted by a Harvard ballcap.
We finally got a table and were about to order some food to go with our beers (Lagunitas Capuccino Stout, Allagash Dubbel, Terrapin IBA, Sweetwater IPA and Rogue Juniper Ale) when we were approached by 2 Englishmen who ? we found out later ? were Atlanta transplants from outside of Liverpool. They struck up a conversation about Jeff’s Harvard cap and how that must mean Jeff is a Patriots fan, but the talk quickly turned to how to value a company for sale. It was enthralling.
The two men sat down with us, ordered some food, and we continued to talk about beer (and Monday Night Brewery), God, religion, family and philosophy. Joel came up a couple times too. We talked for a few hours ? the key takeaway being that British accents make me jealous.
And speaking of the UK, we’ll be brewing our infamous Drafty Kilt scotch ale tonight, so be sure to stop by. We’ve also got stout and IPA on tap. Nice.

Great story other than the fact that HARVARD SUCKS!
Did you guys brew last night or has cornholing started to take up all your time?
Seriously. Those of us up north don’t work in the winter. We hibernate in front of the internet, and without a Tuesday morning Monday Night update, we get a little twitchy.
