Last night, setting a world record, and why we miss Jonathan…
So we didn’t brew last night but we had a great crowd of folks and enjoyed the (slightly) better weather than last week (and by slightly I mean more like 90 degrees instead of 95….LOVE these Georgia summers). We finished a few transfers, continued to enjoy the belgian dubbel and drafty kilt, and admired our rapidly progressing hops.
We all know the ridiculous things we used to read about in the Guinness Book of World Records (click link, see pic to right). Well, today you can actually participate in a new record. Mozilla Firefox just released their 3.0 browser today and are trying to set a worldwide 24-hour interweb download record. Why should you get it? Read here for top 10 reasons – it’s like 9.3 times faster than Internet Explorer (IE)- that’s a lot. I think it’s also fair to say that Firefox is to IE as Allegash is to Budweiser. Market share does not always mean better. You get the gist.
Lastly we just wanted to point out how much we miss Jonathan (still out sick). Yeah, it’s nice to have him around on Mondays to wash carboys but we mostly miss his interweb blogging skills. We know he’s a big Firefox fan too so go download a (free) copy in honor of him.
