After taking a week off to let Jeff and Joel’s fragile bodies heal, we’re ready to brew another batch of our scotch ale tonight. “But it might be too cold,” you’re thinking. To which I respond, “We will have a crackling fire on the deck. Man up.” Or maybe you’re thinking, “But I don’t really like beer.” To which I respond, “Uh… then why are you reading our blog? And also, man up.”

Hope to see ya’ll tonight. Be sure you sign up to receive text message alerts about brewing every Monday.

  • The preferred term ’round these parts is a little more crass, but has stronger effect:

    “Sack up.”

Even funnier when you tell girls to do it.

  • I’m telling everyone to sack up from now on. Also acceptable is Harden the f$%k up, of course.

I brewed in the rain yesterday, so I feel your pain. Now that’s dedication!

  • All of you southern brewer’s need to “sack up”. We’ve been braving the snow for the last month + and we still have at least 90 more days of it!

  • A little cold weather shouldn’t halt brewing. Builds character.
