It’s Monday. It’s on.
Tonight, 8 pm, we’ll be brewing up some remarkably tasty IPA with a splash of rye. You won’t be able to taste that, but we’ve got some great beers on tap. Guest appearance is expected from Joel, proud new father to Oliver, who is less than a week old. And is very cute.
Sweet little baby Oliver born yesterday, and already threatens Joel’s job security
Well folks, it happened. Joel had a baby. Or more accurately, Joel’s wife had a baby. Oliver was born yesterday, a 6 lb 15 oz bundle of safe and adorable. In Oliver’s short 32 hours on this earth, he has already demonstrated a surprising ability to adhere to operating procedures, coordinate deliveries, and manage multiple relationships. Is Joel on the hot seat? Yes. Oliver will likely have his spot on the Monday Night launch team in 3 months.
So congratulate Joel and Mary Stuart quickly, before Oliver spurns his father and takes his equity in an upstart brewery for his own.

According to Joel, Oliver:
“Prefers the yellow MNB shirt, wishes it was available in newborn sizes, and thinks weekends are definitely overrated (he hasn’t actually been around for a weekend yet but his first 32 hours of weekday have been AMAZING!”
No brewing tonight, so you have plenty of time to admire our tap handles
There’s no brewing tonight, but we’re on track to brew next week. That should give you a full week to digest the 2nd round of our tap handle revisions, with different, more contrasted colors. You can see the first versions here. And the Drafty Kilt tap handle mock up below. We still haven’t seen these in person (they are being shipped as we speak), so we’re reserving judgment ourselves.
