Happy Memorial Day, folks!
We hope you have a safe and relaxing holiday, filled with grilling out, craft beer, and love. Whatever your plans, take a few moments to remember those who have served our country so well.
The Monday Night Brewers take the field!
Softball is what makes Atlanta great. True, there are other things, like people and buildings and weather and craft beer. But softball tops the list. Which is why we are proud to announce the sponsorship of a new expansion Atlanta softball team, the Monday Night Brewers.

Last night marked our inaugural game. An historic moment for a city steeped in the love of the game. It went about as good as an inaugural game ever goes. We lost the battle, but that doesn’t mean we have lost the war. A quote from slugger Alfred after the game:

And speaking of “fan bases,” the Monday Night Brewers are actively recruiting fans. Be a part of this rags to riches story. Oh, I should probably see if there is a schedule or something that I can post online. I’ll get back to you on that.

Come on folks, we can fill those stands, right?! Think how epic this photograph would have been with full stands.

It’s Monday, but it’s not that kind of Monday
In other words, we won’t be brewing tonight. Instead, I leave you with a picture. One entitled “Trade Show Table.”

Also, apparently this place is closed Mondays. They’ve written a book on beer. Not sure if they got the memo about Mondays being awesome, though. Maybe they’re closed so that they can revel in the awesomeness?
Monday Night recap: “Tasting party” edition

Weekends truly are overrated. Monday we had a special treat ? Eye Patch Ale and Drafty Kilt pouring at the same time. Usually we have one of these beers on tap at any given time, but we’ve also been prone to experimentation lately. It’s nice to have our two babies back together ? and only a few steps away from launch.

Good times, folks. Good times. Since we didn’t brew, we got to talk to folks a lot more than usual. It gave Joel and I a glimpse into what it’s like to be Jeff, the “non-working” partner in Monday Night. He’s usually the guy avoiding keg washing to talk theology with some random grad student. And you know what? It was nice not cleaning kegs. I think I might do some more slacking from here on out.

Oh yeah, I guess Joel did keg some beer for us. Forgot about that. He always looks constipated when he is kegging beer. This is literally the best picture I could find.
Join us.
We’ll be hosting a little tasting session in the garage tonight. 8pm until 10pm or so. You won’t want to miss it. So don’t.
LOOK WHAT I JUST GOT!!!1!1!!
ZOMG. 33 pirates. Not 32, like cheaper sets. And 7 “pirate accessories.” SEVEN. Including 2 canons, obviously.
Okay, that’s all for now. I have to go set up a fake island on my bedspread to stage a pirate war. Eye Patch Ale style, maytees.

What the heck is a craft beer cigar?
A long time ago, I used to be into cigars. Then I discovered craft beer. And around the same time, I discovered that it’s hard to be into both cigars and craft beer. Putting aside the fact that it’s probably bad to have too many vices, it’s also really hard to discern and enjoy nuanced flavors in either cigars or beer when partaking of the other.
Fast forward to tonight. My brother sends me an ad for a craft beer cigar. Hmmmm. So what the heck is a craft beer cigar?
HOPZ is a cigar apparently seasoned with Centennial hops, and was created to pair with an IPA.
Color me skeptical… but interested. Anyone had one?
