Meet Rachel, and give her a high five

It’s time for a little self-indulgence. We’d like you to meet Rachel. Rachel works for Monday Night. Her title is “Sales Gal and Professional High-fiver.” She is awesome. I’ll give you the “official” bio, but for some off-the-record gossip, keep on reading.

Rachel Kenser heads up sales for Monday Night, and does a darn good job at it. Her primary strengths are drinking beer, talking about beer, becoming friends with cool people, and pretending to be friends with lame people. She’s also got a mean high five. Seriously. Ask her about it. Rachel got her start in the beer industry in Chicago, where she graduated from the University of Chicago. Prior to discovering her true calling, she worked on an organic urban farm, where she taught folks about farming and vegetables, and (obviously) grew vegetables. Oh, and did we mention that she lived in Africa for two years?

Okay, so off the record? Rachel does love Bryan Adams, but only ironically. That’s why her smile looks a little forced. Whenever she’s having a bad day, we let Rachel wear our beer medal. Rachel knows a lot of big words and really likes to read, so don’t ask her anything about books unless you want to order 2 or 3 more pints. Rachel is not a morning person. Rachel makes amazing desserts. Rachel has bad handwriting. Rachel has good taste.

If you see her out and about, feel free to go ahead and go for the high five. If you look creepy, you might get punched in the face, but that’s your own darn fault.
