Our Barrel Farm series is an annual blend of the best our sour barrel room has to offer. Each year, we taste through our finest barrels and come up with a blend that we think best represents our mixed culture sour and spontaneous beer program: a drinkable celebration of funk, soft acidity, noble hops and locally-sourced malt.
This 2024 rendition of Barrel Farm blends three different Brett saisons with a spontaneous ale, each aged in neutral French oak barrels for 12 to 24 months. We then bottle and keg condition the blend for a minimum of 2 months for natural carbonation and flavor development. The result is a tart golden ale, a modern, unadulterated representation of a classic Old World approach to beer.
