Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is a collaboration between three fast friends – ASW Distillery, Hop City Craft Beer and Wine / BoxCar ATL and Monday Night Brewing. We pumped a big (10%) imperial milk stout into ASW Duality Double Malt whiskey barrels and let it age.
Situational Ethics is a series of imperial stouts, each one aged in a different barrel. This version was aged in 10 year tawny Port barrels, with dark chocolate, coffee and Madagascar vanilla.
Situational Ethics is our series of imperial stouts, each aged in different barrels. You’re enjoying the Oloroso sherry barrel-aged version. This contains cacao nibs, dark cherries and Ugandan vanilla beans.
Situational Ethics is our series of decadent imperial stouts aged in different barrels. This one just happens to be our Maple-rum barrel aged variety. We combined fresh ginger, nutmeg, Vietnamese cinnamon, cloves and Tahitian vanilla beans for that classic gingerbread aroma and flavor.
Como Te Llamas is an imperial stout aged in tequila barrels. This beer was created as an homage to the classic flavors of the Horchata. Cinnamon, lactose, nutmeg, and brown sugar add depth and a creaminess that pairs well with herbaceous fresh tequila barrels.
Bourbon Barrel Aged Drafty Kilt, but with more stuff in it. This one will take you back to Grandma’s kitchen with the aroma and flavor of apples, cinnamon…and bourbon.
It’s our Bourbon-Barrel Aged Drafty Kilt, but with more stuff in it. This small-batch version is inspired by the classic Italian dessert, tiramisu.
Bourbon Barrel Aged Drafty Kilt, with more stuff in it. This version is our take on the classic pairing of maple syrup and smoky bacon. For that extra added jolt, we also added locally roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee.
What do Scotland and the American South have in common? An appreciation for good booze. But that doesn’t mean they always get along. We put our award-winning Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale in Kentucky bourbon barrels and let them duke it out in the cellar. Who won? You did. Oh, also we did. Again. A GABF Gold Medal. No big deal.
The chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts in Drafty Kilt complement the charred oak and vanilla notes in the bourbon barrels quite well. Notice we didn’t say “compliment.” Scotch and Bourbon still don’t send each other Christmas cards.
Overnight Celebrity is an 11.5% ABV imperial porter aged in maple bourbon barrels with espresso beans and coconut. With aromas of macadamia nut and dark malt on the nose, this beer hides its alcohol content well. The sweetness of the maple syrup stands up to strong coffee flavors, while subtle coconut notes blend well with the vanilla and oak characteristics of the maple bourbon barrels.
Sympathy Weight is a classic wee heavy scotch ale aged in maple bourbon barrels. With aromas of chocolate and raspberry on the nose, this 12% ABV ale has a smooth mouthfeel. The sweetness of the maple syrup balances the smokiness of the malts, resulting in a sultry, layered ale.
Last Will And Testament is a straightforward, adjunct-free English old ale that has been aging away in bourbon barrels for fourteen months. With Maris Otter as a backbone and plenty of dark malts, this boozy 12% ABV ale has notes of caramel, raisin, and tobacco. This unapologetic liquid pulls delightful notes of vanilla and oak from the barrels, combined with the slow-sipping qualities of a fine port.
There is nothing more sumptuous than the misfortune of your enemies. That dark, smoky taste of revenge takes over as it hits your lips, marching upon your tongue like an army towards certain victory. In addition to the smoke and locally-roasted Batdorf & Bronson coffee on the nose. This beer is roasty, chocolately, and, like the tears of your enemies, the most delicious thing you’ve ever tasted.
NOTE: Contains lactose.
Don’t sleep on Ante Meridiem. Our massive (13.5% ABV) Imperial brown ale is aged in Georgia’s own ASW Distillery bourbon barrels. We add locally roasted coffee from Batdorf and Bronson, Ugandan vanilla beans and maple syrup. The result is a boozy, sweet, satisfying drink that works well with chocolatey desserts, ice cream, or a Connecticut-leaf cigar.
Entente Cordiale represents a rare truce between the French and English. This English-style Barleywine Ale has been aged in French Cognac barrels, marrying the best of both worlds. Ugandan vanilla beans, orange peel, and cocoa nibs add further depth.
