Monday Night Brewing, the award-winning craft brewery with locations in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte and Nashville, will officially open its sixth location to the public with a grand opening celebration on April 13, 2024.
An intimate lounge situated within the newly renovated historic development Kern’s
Food Hall in South Knoxville, Monday Night Proofing Co. is highlighted by a robust cocktail menu, wine by the bottle and glass, and, of course, Monday Night Brewing’s globally recognized beers.
“This has been such a fun and unique project for our team, and we are thrilled to open our second taproom in Tennessee within Kern’s Food Hall,” said Jeff Heck, co-founder and CEO of Monday Night Brewing. “We are so excited to open our doors alongside the other incredible tenants at Kern’s, and can’t wait to start serving the Knoxville community so soon.”
Proofing Co. will offer 20 taps from Monday Night Brewing, serving everything from barrel-aged stouts and wild ales, to refreshing lagers and experimental IPAs. Cozy and sophisticated, Proofing Co. has a private entrance inside of Kern’s and extended evening hours, offering comfortable bar seating and intimate nooks seven days per week.
In addition to the 3,000-square-foot taproom with patio access and rooftop bars, the Monday Night Proofing Co. team will manage a total of four separate venues at Kern’s Food Hall, including:
- Monday Night Brewing High Proof Loft – An elevated spot for premium cocktails, spritzes, wine by the glass, and Monday Night Brewing beer, the High Proof Loft is located on the second floor of Kern’s. With adjacent patio seating allowing for views of the Great Lawn, it’s a beautiful perch for great conversation and enjoying the sunset over South Knoxville.
- Market Bar – Located inside Kern’s Food Hall, the Market Bar serves cocktails and zero-proof libations, the nation’s top-selling draft beer; curated craft beer offerings; and wine by the glass. With 10 draft beer taps, a full range of spirits and skilled bartenders, it’s the perfect spot to sit and sip a drink, or to grab a beverage to enjoy with your meal in the Food Hall.
- Scruff Bar – Conveniently located adjacent to Kern’s Food Hall’s Market Stage and main dining area, Scruff Bar is the spot for a cold beer, curated cocktail offerings, non-alcoholic beverages, or a glass of wine. Scruff Bar is the place to snag a beverage to enjoy with your meal, while shopping, enjoying live music from the Market Stage, or watching a game on the Great Lawn.
Monday Night Proofing Co. will be open Monday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight; Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
Market Bar will operate MondaySaturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
